SPORT: Snowmobilers Preserving
Our Recreational Trails
While also accepting flat donations, the program primarily raises
money through the sale of special pins and renewal bars. With three
different levels of participation, the pins depict a balance scale with a
snowmobile on one side and a no-snowmobiling sign on the other. The
renewal bars represent each succeeding year of support.
Pins for the Gold level cost $100; Silver, $25; and Bronze, $15.
Corresponding renewal bars are sold for $50, $25 and $15. In its first
four years, the program raised roughly $8,000, with all of the proceeds
earmarked for the legal defense fund of the
American Council of
Snowmobile Associations. As a result, the homegrown program has
received national recognition.
To purchase your pins, please fill out the ISSA Gift Shop's
Official
Order Form. The complete SPORT pin series (1998-2006) may be
purchased as a package. Renewal bars to complete the series are also
available. Contact program coordinator Bruno Andreini at (515)
986-3004 for prices and additional information.
At the 2006 International Snowmobile Congress
in June in Burlington, VT, the ISSA's SPORT
Committee presented a check for $1,000 to the
American Council of Snowmobile Associations'
(ACSA) legal defense fund. Making the donation
above to ACSA President Teri Manning is ISSA
President Terry Durby.
