Chair at Minneapolis Meeting
Immediate Past ISSA President Jerry Kramer of Humboldt was officially
named chair of the Midwest Chapter of the American Council of
Snowmobile Associations (ACSA) at its fall meeting in Minneapolis Sept.
17-18.
Already serving as chapter vice chair, Kramer was appointed to succeed
Todd Wilkinson of South Dakota, who was elected ACSA vice chair at
the International Snowmobile Congress in June. Indiana delegate Len
Neisler replaces Kramer as chapter vice chair.
Kramer is scheduled to fill out the remaining year of Wilkinson’s term and
will then likely serve another year as chapter chair. Kramer, who was
ISSA President from 2002-04, said he is looking forward to this new
leadership role and believes it will ultimately provide Iowa with greater
exposure on the national level.
“It’s going to be a challenge, but like any position, you have to stay on top
of it and make sure business is carried out as needed,” he said. “I do think
it gives our state better public relations with the rest of the states and
gives us more opportunities to be involved on national issues.”
ACSA is divided into three chapters: Midwest, Western and Eastern.
Delegates meet quarterly to discuss issues ranging from snowmobile
safety to public land access. ISSA President Terry Durby currently
represents Iowa on the Midwest Chapter and full ACSA boards.
