Iowa Sledheads of Region 12 and drew 57 campers and as many as 180

Perched along Interstate 80 and within a stone’s throw of the Cedar
River, the campground had served as the backdrop for the ISSA’s annual
off-season get-together in 2000 as well. Not unlike six years ago, friends
old and new passed the time sharing memories of winters past,
forecasting the upcoming season and catching up on the latest ISSA
news.
An open forum Saturday morning and the regular monthly ISSA board
meeting Sunday morning served as bookends to the weekend’s activities.
Sandwiched between those sessions were a youth fishing contest, a golf-
cart rodeo and a horseshoe tournament. Highlighting the schedule of
events Saturday evening was a potluck dinner and related festivities,
including a 50-50 drawing and a quilt raffle.
