ISSA Education and
Scholarship Foundation
The Education and Scholarship Foundation program is designed to
provide financial assistance to eligible students for formal education or
occupational training at an accredited two-year college, an accredited
four-year college or university or an accredited propietary vocational
school.
Scholarship applicants must be members or children of ISSA
members. The sponsor must be the parent or legal guardian of the
applicant and a member in good standing at the time the application is
made. Applicants are judged by a foundation committee, and the
winners will be notified by mail. Recipients will be required to provide
proof of enrollment to receive the award.
The scholarship is based in part on need, and therefore, financial
information from the applicant’s family is also required. Other
supporting documentation includes a certified copy of academic grades,
letters of recommendation from a teacher and community member and
a hand-written statement explaining his or her qualifications.
The deadline for applying is April 1. 2008 application materials are
available
here or by contacting Bruno Andreini, foundation executive
director, at (515) 992-3455. Donations to the Education and Scholarship
Foundation can also be made through Andreini or on the ISSA's
Official
Membership Application Form.
