ISSA Education and
Scholarship Foundation
The ISSA Education and Scholarship Foundation program is designed to
support ISSA students who are pursuing a post-secondary education at
an accredited two-year college, an accredited four-year college or
university or an accredited proprietary vocational school.
Scholarship applicants must be members or children of ISSA members.
The sponsor must be the parent or legal guardian of the applicant and a
member in good standing at the time the application is made. Applicants
are judged by a foundation committee, and the winners will be notified by
mail. Recipients will be required to provide proof of enrollment to receive
the award.
The scholarship is based in part on need, and therefore, an Expected
Family Contribution (EFC) rating from the
Iowa College Access
Network is required. To get this number, each applicant will be required
to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at
www.fafsa.ed.gov. After filling out the FAFSA, the applicant will receive
a Student Aid Report (SAR) and be issued the required EFC number.
Other supporting documentation includes a certified copy of academic
grades, letters of recommendation from a teacher and community
member and a statement explaining his or her qualifications and interest
in snowmobiling.
Applications for 2013 are due April 15. Download forms
