In mid-January, ISSA President Matt Miner unexpectedly stepped down from his role, citing "personal reasons" for his early exit. After first serving as Vice President for two years, Miner was elected to the top leadership position in the ISSA in November of 2024 and reaffirmed at the November 2025 convention as part of the two-year presidential term.
At the ISSA Board of Directors meeting Jan. 18, ISSA Vice President Seth Bram moved up to fill Miner's unexpired term, and Region 5 Director Kate Taylor was nominated and ratified to succeed Bram. Both will be up re-election at the November convention in Clear Lake. Region 5 Assistant Steve Burke moved up to replace Taylor.
Both on social media and at the board meeting, board members thanked Miner for his years of service to the ISSA and vowed to support Bram in his new role, which arrived 10 months ahead of schedule.
"I would like to thank everyone for the support and for the vote of confidence," Bram said. "I plan to continue to grow this organization and keep it moving forward."
