Snowmobilers once again stormed the hill in their annual trip to Washington, D.C. April 5-7. Seventy-five snowmobilers from 21 states made the trip to "Tell the Truth About Snowmobiling" during the 2007 ACSA D.C. Fly-In. In addition to a day of chapter meetings and an ACSA board meeting, was a day full of speakers from the various agencies and partners. Over 200 legislators heard from their constituents about the issues facing snowmobiling. Pictured above in Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley's office, eight ISSA officers represented snowmobiling interests in Iowa during the three-day event. Of the seven Iowa legislators, ISSA members were able to meet with four in person and with staff members for the remaining three. The trip also included meetings and speakers representing a wide variety of topics, including forest fire suppression and management, insurance and wilderness. For more on the D.C. Fly-In, pick up a copy of the September issue of the Iowa Snowmobiler.
