ISSA Members Earn National Recognition at Prince Edward Island in June A year away from taking their turn as hosts, more than 20 ISSA officials, members and guests attended the 2009 International Snowmobile Congress at Prince Edward Island in June. The trip north of the border was especially memorable for three members to the sport of snowmobiling. Already serving as secretary/treasurer of the International Snowmobile Council (ISC), Past ISSA President Terry Durby was elected vice president of the American Council of Snowmobile Associations (ACSA). He also retained his position with the ISC. At the Saturday evening Awards Ceremony, ISSA Vice President Gary Burger of Johnston, the 2008 ISSA Snowmobiler of the Year, was named the ACSA National Snowmobiler of the Year. See below for video presentation. Also that night, Mark and Lavell Kuennen from Kuennen's House of Power, Fayette, were named ACSA National Dealer of the Year. They too had earned state honors the previous November in Waterloo. See below for video presentation. For more on these honors as well as the 2009 Congress, pick up a copy of the September issue of the Iowa Snowmobiler magazine. This June, the ISSA hosts the 2010 International Congress at Coralville.
