2011 Vintage Racing
Attention, vintage race fans. The International Snowmobile Media
Council (ISMC) is selling 2011 calendars featuring the vintage
snowmobile racing photography of the late C.J. Ramstad. The calendars
Memorial Scholarship Fund.
C.J.’s work as a photojournalist was unprecedented. His archives of
photos span nearly four decades and include pictures in every U.S. Snow-
Belt state. His adventures also took him to Canada, Finland, Sweden,
Norway, Russia, Chile, Japan and Iceland.
Leaving behind an unmatched legacy, Ramstad passed away
unexpectedly in 2007, and the following year, the ISMC established the C.
J. Ramstad Memorial Scholarship to honor one of snowmobiling’s
greatest photojournalists and a much-missed member of the ISMC.
