The Iowa State Snowmobile Association (ISSA) has been serving the Iowa snowmobiling community since 1973. Through a dedicated membership of 57 snowmobile clubs, the association has helped to maintain an expansive fleet of groomers and a trail system comprising 8,800 miles. Since 2017, the ISSA has also managed snowmobile registration receipts and distributed those funds through annual trail grants. The ISSA is a dues-paying member of the American Council of Snowmobile Associations, and each June, our organization sends delegates to the International Snowmobile Congress. We also host a state convention each November.

52nd annual convention nov. 14-16 in ames



An estimated 125 snowmobilers and guests attended the ISSA's 52nd Annual ISSA Convention at the Quality Inn and Suites in Ames Nov. 14-16. Attendees were treated to two catered meals, evening entertainment and an awards banquet. Check out the full recap in the December and January issues of the Iowa Snowmobiler magazine. 2025-26 MAGAZINE DEADLINES



The Iowa Snowmobiler magazine is the official publication of the ISSA. We publish four times each season: October, November, December and January. ISSA-member clubs are invited to submit items for the Club News and Calendar of Events portion of the magazine. There is no charge for this. Here are the deadlines for 2025-26:


Issue Deadline

October -- Sept. 5

November -- Oct. 3

December -- Nov. 14

January -- Dec. 12


We are also seeking advertisers and sponsors for the upcoming season. If your club would like to become a magazine sponsor, the cost is $350 per year. If your club would like to sponsor a center spread trail map, the cost is $350 per issue. If your business or dealership is interested in supporting the magazine, please consider a Platinum Sponsorship.
